During your stay in Ses Talaies we will inform you, if you wish, of the departures and excursions that you can do from the farm, either to rent a boat, to discover the surroundings or to make a reservation at a restaurant in Ciutadella
We are near the starting point and end of two stages of the "Camino de Caballos", an old route that completely surrounds the island of Menorca, and that you can do by bike, on foot or on horseback. An adventure in contact with nature, an excellent way to get to know the insular coast.
We are in the countryside and we want you to enjoy it, but at the same time we are very close to Ciutadella, less than a kilometer from this town, five minutes by car from the most important town in the west of the island. Visit the port, the market and get lost in its famous streets of the "old town".
In the surroundings of Ses Talaies we find one of the best preserved and most valuable Natural Areas of Special Interest (ANEI) of the island. It covers 3,125 ha and 11 km of coastline and has no population centers nearby. It is one of the best preserved and most valuable areas of Menorca. The coastline is very clipped, with large cliffs, gorges and sandy beaches such as Algaiarens or La Vall, one of the most beautiful on the island.
While the olive trees grow in the field, the Ses Talaies activity focuses on taking care of the details, in the garden and in the trees that produce seasonal fruit (plums, watermelons ...) and that our family brings guests together like you. Freshly harvested fruits, fresh and juicy or cooked in delicious homemade jams that you can enjoy at breakfast.
A 10-minute drive will take you to Punta Nati lighthouse. The environment is flat and stony and the cliffs are more than forty meters high. From this point, you can enjoy some wonderful sunsets. The stone is one of the most characteristic elements of Menorca. Beyond the talayots and the prehistoric sites, for its cliffs, for the rocky outcrops of the north coast, for the constructions of rural heritage such as the bridges and the cattle barracks and also for the dry wall grid that covers the whole surface of the island.
